For students entering in the Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 semesters:
1. High School GPA: A minimum weighted GPA of 2.5.
2. Standardized Test Scores: Students with a weighted High School GPA greater than or equal to 2.50 and less than 2.80 are required to submit a standardized test score (ACT or SAT).
For students entering in the Fall 2026 semester and beyond:
1. High School GPA: A minimum weighted GPA of 2.5.
2. Standardized Test Scores: Students with a weighted High School GPA greater than or equal to 2.50 and less than 2.80 are required to submit a standardized test score of a 17 or higher on the ACT or a 930 or higher on the SAT.

Q: Where will I take the SAT?
A: Jacksonville High School is the closest administration site to White Oak; however, you may choose any site that is convenient to you. Find a testing site HERE
Q: When will I receive my scores?
A: Score reports should be available 3-6 weeks after test administration.
Q: How many score reports can I send to colleges?
A: You can send 4 free score reports to the colleges of your choice, each time you register for the SAT.
Q: Do I qualify for an SAT fee waiver?
A: Students who are eligible for free or reduced lunch may receive up to 2 SAT fee waivers. Students who use a fee waiver also qualify for 4 additional score reports to send to colleges of their choice as well as 4 college application fee waivers.

Q: How do I register for the ACT?
A: All 11th Grade students will take the ACT during the regular school year. No registration is required.
*If a student wishes to retake the ACT, they should watch the video above and visit ACT.org by clicking HERE*
Q: Where will I take the ACT?
A: All 11th grade students will take the ACT at White Oak High School during 2nd semester.
Students wishing to sign up for additional tests may choose any location that is convenient for them. The test sites closest to White Oak are in New Bern, Morehead City, Wilmington, and Greenville. Find your testing site HERE
Q: How long will it take to get my scores back?
A: Scores will be available between 2-8 weeks. Students should log in to their ACT.org account to view their scores.
