Ms. Julie Church
Lead Counselor (Last Names H-O)
My name is Julie Church and I love being a counselor at White Oak! I've worked in education for 12 years as an elementary school teacher, AIG Specialist, and now as a school counselor. I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, a Master's degree in Child Development and a Master's Degree in Counselor Education. All of my degrees I received from East Carolina University (GO PIRATES 💜💛☠️!!). I also am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA).
In my free time, I enjoy working out, reading, going to the beach, traveling, shopping, and hanging out with my dogs, Gunner & Bruce.
My goal as a school counselor is to support students through academic, personal, and social challenges with compassion and care. I work to create a safe, inclusive space that encourages open communication, provides helpful resources, and promotes growth. By partnering with students, families, and staff, I aim to foster self-awareness, resilience, and the skills students need to succeed in school and in life.
