Green Team and Apiary Program
The Green Team of White Oak High School is dedicated to conservation and environmental stewardship, embracing the mission to "plant trees, clean the seas, and save the bees." This passionate group plants trees and pollinator-friendly vegetation around campus, enhancing local biodiversity. They lead beach and community clean-ups, ensuring a cleaner environment for all. The team manages a school apiary, where they raise honeybees and provide habitats for native bees and other pollinators, actively contributing to the preservation of vital ecosystems. Additionally, they work to get members certified as state beekeepers, deepening the school’s commitment to environmental education. They also provide Apiary field trips for OCS 3rd grade classes in the newly built Honeybee Education Center on the campus of White Oak High School. If you are interested in setting up a field trip for your 3rd grade class, please contact Ms. Kranenburg or Mr. Dillman.
Please reach out to Ms. Raven Kranenburg or Mr. Brandon Dillman for more information.
